Early Days of Shane, refers to 1995 thru 2005. These were the discovery years that I recognize as the days of which I learned to put written songs in album form
Press Kits at http://www.reverbnation.com/shaneobrienandobriensedge A New Feature Web Site at www.obriensedge.com/blog/contact/ The Story Behind The Song The Story Behind The Song is a new feature of the obriensedge.com web site. So far there are 3 installments of unique stories regarding songs: “It’s Safe To Be You”, Chapter 2 _ “That’s The Way” and Chapter 3 _ “The Bluesman“. Chapters are loaded with photos highlighting each story, how the song came about and developed to be what it is today on albums by Shane O’Brien and O’Briens Edge. Some Chapters you may find two recorded versions in the Chapters display of that particular song. 1 version of the song as it was originally being written/recorded and the 2nd rendition may be Shane playing it for that Chapter featured as it's highlight. There may be many folks who read and see this new feature and say to themselves “Hey I took that picture” or “I recorded that track with him” or “I was at that gig“. To those particular friends I say “Don't fret, I don't forget"

Lyrics
A Dangerous Way ©2005 Intro: Spoken Word Man! It aint so dangerous to have your love for me Im a man, thats right I see you with heart and soul My love aint that dangerous baby Just grab a hold, lets go for a ride Verse 1 It seemed like a dangerous way baby A dangerous way, to say you love me A dangerous way, to say you love me Verse 2 They tell you to share, share your vision now They tell you not to keep it to yourself They tell to help somebody else, help your fellow man And then they turn around, your fellow man turn around Turn around yeah Put the blame on you again Verse 3 They said you couldnt do it the same way twice The same way, the same, the same way twice They said it was impossible for you to carry it on You aint got the nerve just to get it on It is time baby, it is time baby, its time baby Its time, time to shine it on

Early Days of Shane
Dec 08, 2010
This song was such a great time doing. i recall writing as the tape rolled along and all of a sudden I was kinda matching the tempos with the lyrical bends and twists in their definitions as I was laying it down on tape. I added an electric guitar and a piano to decorate the feel as the moods shift. All in all the track was simply a riot to do and for years to come I know that I will dig it just a much at every listen. Now playing along to it today, well thats a jam sure to keep your rhythm chops in shape, especially simultaneously done with the vocal.
